Global Community Engagement is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that sponsors service learning projects in Santiago, Dominican Republic. GCE works in underprivileged neighborhoods with a focus on disadvantaged children.

Patricia says she applied to GCE because "GCE promotes a change within ourselves to shape us into who we are meant to be and help us find our purpose. I wanted to bring this experience to a new group and see how they grow and learn throughout this process"
Mariana says she applied to GCE because " it goes beyond the trip and everything we do. GCE is a way of living through humbleness, selflessness, love, and appreciation. It is my greatest passion and a reminder of the way I want to live my life. I do it for the happy little superstars."
